La Catedral de Granada fue mandada construir por Isabel la Católica poco después de la toma de la ciudad en 1505. Su primera piedra se colocó el día de la Encarnación de 1523, siendo su primer arquitecto Enrique Egas, que fue sustituido por Diego de Siloé.
Tiene una monumental fachada, obra de Alonso Cano, y en su interior alberga un grandioso retablo. Su Capilla Mayor es una gran joya del Renacimiento español, que se puede contemplar desde su nave central.
En sus naves laterales se cierran numerosas capillas que representan diferentes épocas y estilos con excepcionales obras de arte, donde destaca el retablo de la Virgen de la Antigua, primera patrona de Granada.

Prophylaxis with low molecular weight heparin in pregnant women with this thrombophilia and preventive interventions of risk factors for thromboembolic disease, together with adequate obstetric control, have managed to avoid the appearance of complications derived from this pathology in pregnancy and in the puerperium. On the other hand, fetal growth control and the Echo-Doppler study have made it possible to ensure fetal wellbeing by not bringing delivery forward, thus achieving full-term deliveries.

Su elemento más occidental es la alcazaba, una posición fuertemente fortificada. El resto de la meseta se compone de varios palacios, rodeados por una muralla relativamente débil, con trece torres, algunas defensivas y otras que ofrecen vistas a los habitantes.
